Hi everyone,
Since the latest Adobe InDesign update, I’ve been experiencing an issue with assigning colors:
I’m unable to apply any color from the swatches to objects or text. When I select a color, nothing happens initially, and after a short delay, I hear the typical macOS error sound. The color selection is simply ignored, and the object or text remains unchanged.
Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a solution?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Richard

Hi @vonseydewitz,
Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re having with swatches in InDesign. To help us troubleshoot effectively, could you please provide the following details?
Additionally, if you have the Magnet app (or similar window management apps) installed on your Mac, try disabling or uninstalling it temporarily. These apps are known to sometimes interfere with InDesign's functionality.
Once you’ve tested this, let us know if the issue persists so we can assist you further.
Best,
Abhishek Rao

Just to make sure that the solution mentioned by @Abhishek Rao stands out:
Disable Magnet

Same here. Quitted Magnet and everything went back to normal.
It also made Illustrator glitching.
Lost a lot of productivity because of that.
