Publish online requires restart Indesign every time.

Hi Adobe,

I'm having this issue where I have to restart InDesign every time I publish my document online to check if the animations are updated. This is incredibly annoying, as I have to restart InDesign every time I need to make changes to my animation but the PUBLISH ONLINE WINDOW won't appear.

Can you tell me a short-term fix for this issue?

What platform, OS and InDesign version?

And please don't say "latest" or "fully updated" 😉

Do you have any error messages?

No error message.

I can publish the document once. After that, if I make some corrections and publish it, the PUBLISH ONLINE window won't show up. I have to restart Indesign again for it to work.

Try going through the steps from here:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/reset-indesign-preferences-and-other-troubleshoo...

Resetting preferennces and clearing cache - "soft" solutions.

Skip the Nuclear option - for now 😉

Hi @wise_realist6946,

Thanks for the update, and I hope Robert’s suggestion helped!

Adding to what he mentioned, could you also confirm if this issue happens with all documents or only with a specific one? It would also be helpful to check if the same behavior occurs with a newly created file.

Looking forward to your update!
