Not about your problem - but why 1st body paragraph isn't aligned with the rest?
And why you are not justifying body text?

It's screen captures off the blog, resized and photoshopped together. Good alignment catch!
This is just an example. I've got a 20 page document with mixed samples: video, InDesign files exported as PDFs and reimported to decrease the overall file size and eliminate relinking issues; Word files exported in various formats etc., It all looks terrible except placed video files and the actual original Indesign builds. It used to be the whole reason for a PDF was to embed the fonts but now that doesn't work anymore either but I digress...

It still works and if you're having issues I suggest starting there. And then you can back into the other issues.
BTW, video in a PDF? Forget it. Horrible idea as it won't work on most PDF readers at all.

It is an InDesign interactive file published to the web and video plays just fine in Safari, Chrome and Brave.
Inside the interactive file, multiple types of file formats that have been imported.
In this particular instance, a PDF exported from a Word doc does not embed fonts. To replace a Microsoft font with a Mac or Adobe font destroys the line breaks and is a typesetting do-over but that is a side issue.
The issue is .jpg, .pdf and .png files are blurry, even through they are high res and published at the maximum setting...
My issue has nothing to do with design or type alignment or video in a PDF. It is about publishing to the web from InDesign which worked just fine until the 2014 upgrade. So please no more tips unless there is a solution to this problem.

Well, at the risk of another useless suggestion, your problem is with the Word-generated PDFs and I would start there. Using an unembeddable font is not going to work in any application that honors that and the only time I've ever seen it is in freebie fonts downloaded from garbage websites. If that is indeed the issue you'll need to go back and change it.
Your other problem is trying to export graphics from InDesign (at least that's what it sounds like from your description. Export a PDF, open that in Photoshop and save as PNG there. Don't use JPG for anything with text in it.
If you don't want to bother with that, well, good luck. We're all just volunteers here and while I get your frustration, taking it out on the people trying to help is going to get you nowhere.
