Good morning,
I work with InDesign creating specifications for different products, and I have to add the supplier contact information for each of them. I have all the supplier info in a separate excel file sorted by name, address, phone etc.
Most of the times I don't have to use all of them or follow an alphabetic order, so I would like to know if there is a way/plug in to have some kind of "contact list" on InDesign and when I type or search "Sony" or "Samsung" I can click from the results and the contact info automatically populates?
Maybe using a databes instead of excel?

The only thing I can think of is using Data Merge or using XML
Sorry - without seeing the setup it's very difficult to guide you.
