"Error creating temporary record definition sheet"

I get this upon opening Indesign 2024.  The error just came from nowhere.  My InDesign was working fine one day and the next morning that's what I get. 

The Plugins I have currently is Design Merge.  I am on mac OS Ventura 13.5.2

I could not work on anything right now.

What if you disable this plugin? 

Any recent updates of InDesign?

Hi Robet, yeah that's what I end up doing.  In the beginning I thought it was the XMPie plug-in, so I removed it and it still gave me the error.  This time I did delete the Design Merge and now it works!! 

My InDesign is updated so maybe something on the update did not work with the Design Merge plug in.

Plugins are not so flexible so they can "crash" after InDesign's update.

Out of curiosity - what is this plugin for?  OK, found it.

Glad you did.  We do A LOT of variable data printing.  We use both Design Merge and XMPie but we are trying to standardize on XMPie.
