Description:
I am experiencing a recurring issue with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign (both 2025 editions) freezing on startup on my M3 MacBook Pro. I have never encountered this issue before. Restarting my computer temporarily resolved the issue once, but the problem has returned.
Additionally, today Photoshop displayed the following error message:
“Could not download ‘Party Incap-Death Status Tracker-2025.psdc’ because you are not signed in or there was a problem setting up cloud documents.”
Steps Taken to Troubleshoot:
• Restarted my MacBook Pro (resolved the issue once, but the problem persists).
• Confirmed that I am signed into my Adobe Creative Cloud account.
• Attempted to open Photoshop and InDesign separately, but both freeze upon launch.
System Information:
• Device: M3 MacBook Pro
• OS Version: [Insert macOS version]
• Adobe Photoshop Version: 2025
• Adobe InDesign Version: 2025
• Creative Cloud Status: Signed in
Request:
Please assist in diagnosing and resolving this issue. If additional logs or troubleshooting steps are needed, I am happy to provide them.
Thank you.

That Photoshop error message may give a hint that something might be wrong with your internet connection. What if you disconnect from the internet entirely as a test - will you be able to open the apps? (There should be a grace period to work without the internet connection for 30 days).

Thanks for sharing the details! As @leo.r and @Robert at ID-Tasker suggested, this could be related to internet connectivity or system conflicts (please test their suggestions and share the outcome).
Also, when InDesign freezes, does it eventually crash and show the crash reporter dialog, or do you have to force quit it? Could you share a screen recording of what happens?
In the meantime, you can test if the issue persists in Safe Mode to isolate the third-party app and service conflicts. Reference: Apple Support - Start Mac in Safe Mode.
Let me know how it goes! Looking forward to your update.
