Rounded corners paragraph style

In this table i have added rounded corners to the text on the left column.

But when shading the right column it overlaps the left column.

Is it possible for the shading to overlap the right column?

You can, but it's a little tricky. You need 2 different paragraphs, one to fake the yellow background and another one to fake the white background and you need to have the text “stage 1” actually after the other text, with a leading value set at zero, to give the illusion of a single paragraph. Since this paragraph is after the other one, the white paragraph shading is over the yellow one.

You can get this:

with CharStyle... but no vertical lines.
