Selecting a Button Layered on Top of an Already Selected Button

I'm working on an interactive in which the user selects a series of buttons to get a pop-up box with content in it. For one particular button, the content spans three pop-up boxes, which means I have to add next/previous and close buttons on top of the pop-up box. The problem I run into is that becuase I have to make the pop-up box a button in order to get it to pop-up, that makes it selectable in the exported PDF. If the user selects the pop-up box, they can't select the next/previous or close button until they click away from the pop-up box to de-select it. Any recommendationa on work arounds for this?

Can you provide the ID file so we can see exactly how you're building this? Or at least publish is using Publish Online so we can see the problem more clearly? Thanks.

My recommendation is to forget about it. Getting this work even under Acrobat is going to be a crapshoot and under any other PDF reader will likely fail.

Thanks for posting the file, let me look at it a bit further. But I totally agree with Bob. It's a waste of time to try this in PDF. He was saying so years ago: https://www.boblevine.us/its-okay-to-say-no-to-interactive-pdf/

Another option maybe to forget about the PDF and use HTML5 with Ajar Productions.
