shortcut issues in Indesign

Dear community,

Since I got a newer Mac (with Big Sur), certain keyboard shortcuts in Indesign don't work anymore and I just can't find a solution for it.

For example: pressed alt and drag and drop to copy an element.

White arrow + shift key to select multiple anchor points.

I hope someone can help me, thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing. This generally happens due to third-party applications such as Chrome, antivirus interfering with the keyboard keys. You may try running the Indesign in Safe Mode to check if the shortcut keys are working or not. In Safe Mode, your system starts to perform certain checks and prevent third-party software/ services from automatically loading or opening. Let us know how it goes.
