Since updating my Operating software, I cannot see my eps files in an icon. It just shows the text EPS. This is really frustrating.

When you post a question you always need to tell the Adobe program you are using
There are MANY programs in a full subscription, plus other non-subscription programs
Please post the exact name of the Adobe program you use so a Moderator may move this message to that forum

If I'm understanding what you're saying, I am running InDesign 18.1 in Ventura 13.2.1 on a MacBook Pro 2021.
I have a few Illustrator EPS files and they show icons when I'm placing them:
Is that what you used to see?

Illustrator also shows these icons (it created the files) in the Open dialog:

You might try upgrading Ventura to the latest version (Ventura 13.2.1). It might be a bug in that version.
