Snapping Guides aren't showing anymore

Hi,

Normally, when you drag an object towards the middle of a page or something, a purple guide line shows up to let you know that the object is now at the centre position. However, now these guides aren't showing up in my document so I can't align items properly which is frustrating.

It says it is active? It's greyed out, I can't unselect it.

Turn off Snap to Document Grid.

I thought the poster would be confused by your wording, just trying to clarify. "Snap to grids passive" doesn't really make sense in English.
