Speicherort der GenAI Bilder ändern

Hallo,

die KI-generierten Bilder aus ID werden ja standardmäßig lokal in den Dokumenten gespeichert.

Ich möchte den Speicherort aber auf meinen Server ändern.

Hintergrund: Ich arbeite standardmäßig auf zwei verschiedenen Rechnern und kann die Dateien nicht vernünftig exportieren, wenn ich nicht auf demselben Rechner arbeite an dem ich die Datei erstellt habe. Geschweige denn, wenn ich auf beiden Rechnern KI-Bilder generiert habe. Ja, ich könnte die Dateien immer verpacken oder die Bilder dort manuell rausspeichern. Das ist aber im Alltag nicht wirklich praktisch.

Habt ihr eine Idee, wie das funktioniereen könnte?

Hi, I experience the same challenge. I recommend you add your vote or create a new feature request at Adobe InDesign to suggest this update to the development team.

I either save the images locally from the Links panel, or package the file at the end of the day.

Generative AI Images Tip:

• All variations are downloaded to your computer in the following location:
  • Windows: C:\Users\<username>\Documents\InDesign GenAI Assets
    
  • macOS:  /Users/username/Documents/InDesign GenAI Assets
    
• You can see all the placed variations in the Links panel.
• For images generated using GenAI features, you'll see the OK   icon in the Status section of the Links panel.
• You can edit the generated images. Right-click the placed variation, go to Edit With, and then select any application.

Yes, I wish the generative ai images could be assigned to a folder of my choice (maybe setting this in Preferences)

Two things I use in the Links panel for a selected gen ai image:

Links panel menu button > Reveal in Explorer/Finder/Bridge

Links panel menu button > Utilities > Copy Link(s) To...
