Why don't I get the option of story direction.
In previous cc versions, I was always able to select a direction without a problem.
In the past year, I'm having so manyh issues with this.
It keeps on not appearing and I keep on having to uninstall/ install indesign again.
It is extremely frustration and very time-consuming.
I just reinstalled indesign, and still don't see the option!
Texts are appearing totaly the wrong direction!!

As @Robert at ID-Tasker mentioned in your other thread, this looks to be a problem with basing paragarph styles on [Basic Paragraph].
When you move pages to a new document, any styles that are already defined, like [Basic Paragraph] will use the style defintion of the receiving document, not the sending, and it looks like in your original file [Basic Paragraph] has been re-defined.
As he also mentioned, the best way for you to work on a copy o f the file in this case is to actually make a copy, either in the OS file browser whne the file is closed, or by using File > Save As or File > Save a Copy from the open document in InDesign. Moving pages is useful for breaking apart a long file, reusing pages in a different document, or for possible repair of a corrupt file, but it has a lot of pitfalls like style defintion changes.

So how can I get all my documents to be left - right aligned?
It's driving me crazy.

In this situation I would probably use the panel flyout menu in the Paragraph Styles panel to Load Styles in the files that are incorrect. Select the original file that is properly formatted for the source, select all the styles, and check the box to use the incoming style definitions.

I have all the styles aready here.
And the ingridients and instructions are in the opposite position!
how can I change that?

Reloading the styles is the fastest way to redefine them correctly.

As I told you above. Use the Load Styles dialog from the Paragraph Styles panel flyouot menu.

Open the Paragraph Styles panel
Click the panel menu icon in the upper right corner
Select Load All Text Styles
In the next dialog navigate to and select your original file whre the styles work correctly.
Click Open
In the next dialog be sure that in the second column under Conflict with Existing Style it says Use Incoming Style
Click OK

I took the full indesign couse by 'yes I'm a designer' by
I remember learning this, just need help with paragraph styles,
I would greatly appriciate your help.
Thank you.
I know indesign very well as I'm using it for over 10 years and always managed with all this beacuse I had the story option of changing the direction.
Where did this option go to?

I will work on the paragraph styles, but I need an answer to my questions about text direction.
I need to it for all my documents.
Why is my text/ columns going from right to left instead of left to right??

It's a very simple question which I asked at the very beginning.
Where is the option to change my text direction which I always did under 'story'?

That option is only available if you use the a version of InDesign specifically with right-to left language support.
That said, ALL of your problems appear to be based on your style defintions, but without actually seeing the files I doubt anyone can be more specific about exactly where you went wrong.

Yes, it must be.
I'm wasting so much time on this.
How can I share the file with you?
Or is another way for you to help me?
thank you

Have you loaded the styles as directed? If not, please do that NOW instead of trying to find other methods of fixing the problem when that is probably all that is required.
IF that fails, consider abandoning your faulty copies made by moving the pages to a new document and instead make a proper copy using File > Save AS with a new name and continue making your changes on that.

Yes, I have.
It looks better now.
How can I have my paragraph stlyes synced to all my documents which I'm using the same styles for, so that when I change it in one document, all will uptade as well

You can use Book feature.
Or every time you want to start a new document - with the same set of styles - make a copy of the old one - and delete all pages and then contents of the 1st page.
Then add new pages.

There is no really good way to keep styles synced across multiple documents automatically.
Perhaps the bes mthed would be to add all the files to an InDesign Book (.indb file, File > New > Book) which is nothing more than a container for a collection of files and is usually used for things like organizing chapters in a longer publication, but is not restricted to doing so. A Book allows you to synchronize Parent pages and styles across all the files in the collection, but it still not automatic - you must choose the source file and the items to synchronize, then initiate the process.
I'm sure this process could also be managed by a script, but whter such a script is already written is unknown to me.

Oke, it looked more to me like you were confusing left to right/right to left writing with left or right alignment, two totaly different things. For right to left writing you need the ME version of InDesign as pointed out by others.
