Why is the same exact style (I even imported the stlye from the one that's right) looking differently on all of  these documents?

see video for clarity

the first one shown is correct, the way I want it to appear.

Hi @hendy_5450,

Thank you for sharing the video and explaining the issue so clearly. I tested this on my end by loading paragraph styles from another document, and it worked as expected. The styles appeared consistently in the new document.

When a style looks different even after importing, it is usually because of local overrides or document-specific settings. After importing the style, please select the text and click the Clear Overrides button (you will find this at the bottom of the Paragraph Styles panel) to ensure there is no manual formatting conflicting with the style. Also, check if the style is based on another style, as differences there can affect how it appears.

If possible, please confirm which InDesign version you are using and let me know if this happens with all documents or only specific ones. If you still see differences after clearing overrides, feel free to share a packaged sample file so I can check it in detail with the team. If confidential, share it via DM on the community.

Looking forward to your update!

Abhishek

On the last one it didn't show the character style applied to it at all.

If it's not a local override then it could be the Style is Based On another style

Check the character style to make sure it's not inheriting from another style.

Could be part of the issue.
