If I only want to have InDesign, is it correct that creative cloud will automatically download when I sign up for a seven day free trial and then, after that, if I want to continue using Indesign, I can pay £19.97 per month?

Does this £19.97 include creative cloud or do I also have to pay a further monthly subscription for that? I can see on the website that would be an additional £41.57 per month?

So after my free trial, I would need to pay 61.48 per month? Is that correct?

However, if I cancel within 14 days of starting my free trial, I would get that all refunded. Is that also correct?

Also, can you only download the free trial onto one computer.

There are different subscription options. If you subscribe to all of Creative Cloud, you can install and use most of Adobe's apps. If you subscribe only to InDesign, you can install ID and Acrobat and (IIRC) a few little tools.

In any case, you first install the Creative Cloud app, which manages it all.

But yes, once the trial is up, you pay a monthly fee to keep using whichever set you've selected. Read the subscription pages carefully for all the details.

There are essentially no refunds unless you cancel within a narrow range. Either cancel within the trial or plan to pay for a first month.

To clarify for the OP, if one subscribes to just ID, the Acrobat would just be Reader, not Pro.

Ouch. Didn't know that... very limiting for doc production. And Reader is free anyway...

Be sure you sign up for just what you want--either ONLY InDesign or the entire Creative Cloud Suite.

The prices in the US are $21 for just ID and $55 for the entire suite. After the trail period, the price would be whatever you opted for--either the standalone program or the entire suite.

Separate the Creative Cloud APP from the Creative Cloud SUITE. InDesign will use the CC App to control your install and updates, but that does not mean you have access to the entire suite. Assuming you subscribe to only ID, the app will show "Open"; the other programs will show "Try".

If you cancel before the trial period of 7 days, there should not be any charge, so no need for a refund. If you continue beyond the trial period, you would be charged for the first month, but can get that refunded after 14 days.
