Hi.
I have placed 14 SVG files into a report which were perfect but today when I reopened the document they have lost their text fonts - see below.
I've tried opening them in AI and it says Clipping will be lost on roundtrip to Tiny and then produces the same image.
The document was meant to go to print today so can anyone help!
Thank you in advance
One check would be to try to use the font to set text directly in InDesign.

Are the fonts properly installed?

Without sounding daft - how do I check?

@kateh97719799 This sounds like a clipping mask issue? I don't know if this makes a difference but on export to SVG did you set the images to embed in the options? Can you test by changing one of the SVGs to PSDs to see if that works?
Added: On looking up this issue from some other sources just now, this may have to do with how you saved to SVG using "save as" vs. "export" so perhaps do a test around that? Also, it's possible that some path name changed in the AI file when you came back to your document since you said they were perfect before. Did you move files or rename anything?

If you open one of the placed SVG files in the browser, e.g. Firefox, do you see the same mess?
What is your exact InDesign version?
What's your operating system version?

Hi. It opens in Chrome and is absolutely fine.
I'm working with both ID and AI 2021 and on Windows 10.
It was strange as they were working fine and only today (deadline day) did it go wrong

Ok. If all you are trying will fail:
Nevertheless, open the SVG in Illustrator, save it as AI file with PDF preview enabled and place the AI file in InDesign.
What is the creator application of the SVG file?
Could you write a different SVG where all text is converted to SVG outline shapes?
What you can try as well if your time allows:
Share one of the SVGs here in the forum so that we can have a look.
Put it on Dropbox or a similar service and post the download link.
Perhaps I can do something about this.

Well, you could also install software like InkScape that is public domain and open the SVG file there.
Try to export to PDF with fonts embedded. Just an idea…

Use .ai with import settings instead of using .svg
They usually can get corrupted when exporting the PDF.
