Table auto centers in frame when frame size is changed.

In my frames are tables of various numbers of rows. Some frames when their size is altered has the table auto center; others do not. I would like the table not to auto center, but remain aligned along the left side when I resize the frame, thereby resizing the columns to fit my print area. How can I stop this function from centering.

Attached is an image of the issue. On the left page, the table is autocentering, while the right is aligned left and I can adjust the frame without centering the table.

A table behaves like a single character within a text frame. It can be tricky to select the tableCharacter if the table and frame are of similar width. When that's the case, temporarily widen the frame to make some space on either side of the table, then click in that space and you'll see an insertion point (blinking cursor) that matches the height of the table. (If you double-click, you'll select the tableCharacter.)  Then, you can set its alignment to left, center, or right, like a paragraph.

As tables are essentially inserts into a text box, the underlying text formatting is controlling the position of your table. Click just to the left of the table and see what your paragraph specs are.

Hi RISE RPG,

the Story Editor Window can also help to select the paragraph the table ( special character ) is positioned in.

I'm not sure when looking at your screenshot about your design intentions. You may set the justification of that paragraph either to "Align Towards Spine" or "Align Away From Spine".
