So I have a table of contents that works OK and it's referencing the correct page numbers.

However I want the page numbers in the contents to be 1-5, 6-10, 11-20, 21-42 etc.

I don't see any way of doing - is it possible?

Hi Coldd,

not automatically with InDesign's TOC functionality.

I know a number of contributors here suggest using the cross-reference feature in place of the TOC feature when more control is desired. I wonder if a 'topic range' could be used to generate these page range numbers.

But other than that, a manually-edited list is the only option I can see. Perhaps backed by a script that looks for chapter start pages and works backward.
