Text dissapears from text box when increasing/decreasing its size

Hello, I have problems with the Indesigns text boxes. When I either make them bigger or smaller, the text inside them dissappears momentarily and only appears when I double click the text box again. Is there a way to turn this feature off?

That wouldn't be a normal behaviour 

What's your OS, version number, and your version of InDesign?
What's your system specs, RAM, Storage, Graphcis card etc? 

Some things to try in the mean time.

If you're on a Mac

Try turning off the GPU Performance in the InDesign settings.

Is it just that file or all files?
If just that file try File>Export and choose IDML - then open that and see if the issue continues.

Try resetting your preferences:

InDesign 19.3 and newer go to Preferences > General > and click on "Reset Preferences on Quit" and then quit and restart.

Or
Windows: Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
macOS: While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.

I hope the expert’s suggestions helped resolve the issue for you.

If the problem still persists, could you please confirm the version of InDesign you're using and your operating system details (as the expert asked)?
