Text keeps changing to color of background, basically disappearing

Haviung an issue since I upgraded to 16.2.1 where I go to edit some text and it basically disappears by turning into the color it is on top of. So black text on a white background turns white when I click to edit it, so I can't see it. To get the text to appear again I have to do something like zoom in/out or move the text box.

I found a post showing a lot of the same issue here: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/20408851-indesign-perfo...

But I'm curious if Adobe is actually addressing this because it seems to be ongoing. I'm using a 24" M1 iMac. Thanks

One basic thing here: you are waiting on getting a version of InDesign that is compatible with the new chipped Mac.

I thought of that but that link shows people having this issue before the M1 came out. So I'm wondering if it's just a bug in general.
