Hi everyone, I currently have an InDesign file open and am trying to change my font colour to pure black, but when I highlight it and select it it stays grey. I utilized a template but even within the template I could change the font colour to pure black, I didn't mess with any settings, is there a fix?

Did you try to change the paragraph style?

Is above the text a character style?

Actually I did find a solution, that being replacing the text with a copy and then transforming that to black but thank you.

As a matter of interest, what do you mean by "pure black"?

Did you possibly have a tint applied or a character style defining a tint?
