Hi everyone, I am looking for a specific style for my text. I want to replace colon (:) after the first word in every paragraph and add a pink background to the first word, like in the attached image. I want to do this using paragraph nested style to automate it. How to do it? I am also attaching a plain InDesign file with the text. If someone can help or do it for me, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

A colon could help here.

 

  1. create 2 character styles, 1 for the pink underlays and 1 to make the colon invisible (no character color, very small font size, like 0,1 pt and horizontal skale to 1%. 
    in the paragraph style use the pink style up to colon, the invisible style for 1:

I am not sure if this can be done via Nested styles. However you can use the Find/Change feature for this. See the following screenshot for more details
