Hi Mr Math Type,
I just got this project from someone else, who could not succeed in fixing the problem. The InDesign document has bunch of inline and display equations and characters look really messed up when opened in InDesign. They were placed as eps but don't know what the problem is. Attached is a screenshot of how I see the equations. I really appreciate if you can solve this problem.
If you have to place the equations using an image file instead of text, have you tried saving the eps file as a tif or jpg file and then inserting it to see if the characters display correctly?
Also, make sure you have the same fonts that were used by the author. You might need to install them on your computer, too.
