TOC repeat some headings

I find a post asking for this problem, but I don't find the solution.

I have a TOC that repeats some headings at the end. It asks if I want to show over set text, but I don't have any over set text in the book. If I say yes, it starts to repeat all the headings from heading nº8 to the last heading. If I say no, it works fine. But I want to understand why this TOC is doing that. I've been working with Indesign more than 10 years, and I've never seen this before.

This is an example:

1. Heading 1 ......1

2. Heading 2 ......4

3. Heading 3 ......5

4. Heading 4 ......8

2. Heading 2 ......4

3. Heading 3 ......5

4. Heading 4 ......8

2. Heading 2 ......4

3. Heading 3 ......5

4. Heading 4 ......8

Thank you in advance.

Are you using the Update TOC or the Create TOC command? Are you putting the TOC into its own, unthreaded, frame?

Try deleting the current TOC, then create a new one, but put it into its own frame not part of the other text.
