Trouble updating Indesign 2021

Hello! I'm trying to update InDesign to the latest version but it keeps giving me the message "Conflict updating InDesign. Save your work and close the following programs before continuing." The problem is that InDesign is closed completely and I'm not able to open the app at all until it updates. I tried uninstalling it but I do not have the proper permissions to uninstall it on my computer. Is anyone else having this problem with the latest update?

Sorry about this trouble. Are you getting any error message while uninstalling the application? Which operating system is this? 

You may try the suggestions shared on this page ( https://helpx.adobe.com/in/indesign/kb/preferences-folder-read-only-issue.html ) for permission errors.
