Troubleshooting Text FX Animation Issues in EPUB Export from InDesign

When I play the text animation in EPUB, the Text FX effects I applied to the text are excluded.
I try slecting the text only within the text box so I can add the effects directly, but then I do not get any FX options just basic janky and boring HTML text effects. Not the InDesign text box FX.
