Trying to place Buttons in a Table Cell

Created a table. Want the information to be fillable. Tried to place a checkbox at the end of some text inside a table cell, but the option is greyed out.

To further clarify, I'd like to avoid placing extra textboxes in-line if possible.

Easiest way I can think of is to create the checkbox, cut it to the clipboard and then paste it inline after the text.
