It could be that the document you are trying to ‘auto-open’ is not selected to be edited with that corresponding app. So for instance: if you like to edit a .jpg or .eps (or whatever document-type) in Photoshop: select the document in Finder: use command-i: select the appropriate app and ‘change all’. And it should work…

Hi @Sharon347308144za1 , Try opening your Links panel, select the link and choose Edit Original or Edit With from the Links panel flyout menu.

Hi! I red through the discussion thread and none of them seem to make any sense. I want to work in Indesign select an object from my CC Libraries and want the option to to EDIT WITH and be able to slect the other Adobe programmes such as Photoshop. This is not available on the Fly Out Menu List - Only Adobe Indesign is listed in the fly out menu.
I would also like to know if I select the Edit with Edit Original this will change the original object in my CC Library permanently.
