Unable to find system font in InDesign

I have a problem that the systems OS fonts, dont appear in indesign and I need to use the font avenir for a project, I have try to find where are they in the app but is not appearing. Is there a option I have not able to find to make them appear and fonts for the app?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I would request if you could copy that font from system fonts folder and paste in InDesign's dedicated fonts folder. 

Location of system fonts folder (Source):

• macOS: /System/Library/fonts
• Windows: C:\Windows\Fonts

Loaction of the InDesign fonts folder (Destination):

• macOS: /Applications/Adobe InDesign 2021/Fonts
• Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign 2021\Fonts

Does Avenir appear in other Adobe applications or in Microsoft? Do you use a font manager? Can you see it in Finder when you go to 

• /System/Library/Fonts/ ?

Avenir is preinstalled on Mac, but not on Windows. What is your platform?
