Unable to get rid of the InDesign top bar after disabling Application Frame

I'm probably missing something obvious but I can't find a way to get rid of the top bar that becomes redundant after disabling Application Frame (pic attached).

I don't see any menu to disable it or any way to dock it out of the view.

For years I've been just tucking it somewhere into display corner away from the view.

Time to find out if there's any way to close it.

Thanks,

Hi leo.r,

We are sorry for the trouble. We would request you to please share the version of InDesign and the operating system you're working on. Have you tried resetting preferences, and let us know if that works?

We will try our best to help.

Thanks,

Harshika

Thanks Harshika,

17.2 (or any version for that matter), Mac (any system).

It's not a matter of resettiung preferences (plus it's clean install anyway).

I just ned to hide "home bar" (or whatever its official name is) after disabling Application Frame.

How do you hide this bar on your machine?

Sorry for the confusion. I thought that some UI part of the applications was hindering the workflow. However, I agree with our experts, and I would request you to please upvote the UserVoice request and add your voice.

We'll also pass on your feedback to the team for improvements in the future.

Thanks,

Harshika

Hi @leo.r:

That's the Title Bar and it can't be removed on your Mac, whether the Application Frame is enabled or disabled. You can file a feature request through the Help menu.

I found a coup,e of posts about this. This one has the most upvotes. The more support it gets the more likely Adobe is to see it.

I wouldn't get too optimistic. We've had Basic Paragraph for almost 20 years.
