Hi,

When I want to import or update Excel files into Indesign last version 17.2.1. It does not recognize that file when I want to update or inside Indesign Options Window does not show excel sheets or excel range.

Does somebody know the problem come from?

I need I solution urgently, because it worked very well before.

I attach Indesign Options Window image with the problem.

Regards

Go to InDesign Preferences, on the Mac, it is in the InDesign Menu, on Windows at the end of the Edit menu.

In the section File handling is an option to keep links for text and table files. Activate that.

Is this a real Excel file or a file created in a different application saved as an Excel file? Is it an XLSX or XLS file?

It is XLS file. It was created from .xlsx, that way Indesign shows sheets and range excel.

That should have nothing to do with it. Use the XLSX file.

If the problem persists, standard troubleshooting includes resetting InDesign Preferences: https://creativepro.com/rebuilding-indesign-preferences/ or saving the problem file as .idml and re-opening.
