Unable to open installed InDesign version via cloud

Community Beginner ,
Feb 22, 2024 Feb 22, 2024

Hello,

I am an Apple user. I installed the latest version of Indesign. It only opens via cloud. When I click on the Indesign icon on the computer, it does not open. If I close it after it opens via Cloud, it does not turn on again. Is it possible for you to provide support on this issue?

enjoy your work

Hello,

It was fixed when I installed MacOs Sonoma 14.3.1. Thank you for your interest.

It only opens via cloud

What do you mean? InDesign is installed on your computer and it opens from your computer. There is no InDesign that “opens in the cloud”.

I am an Apple user.

What is your OS version (exactly)? I suspect that your OS is not updated to the last version which is 14.3.

Indesign Creativ opens from Possible. It does not open from Applications. Ventura 13.2.1 version is installed on the computer.

I don't know what is InDesign “Creativ”.

Anyway, upgrade your system to the last Ventura version, which is 13.6

Hi @Meral35618366n0so,

Sorry to hear you're unable to open InDesign. In addition to what our expert has suggested, could you please tell us from where you've installed InDesign? Is it from the Creative Cloud Desktop app?

Are you trying to open the InDesign from the Creative Cloud Desktop?

Please share the screenshot of the installed InDesign version on your machine.

We will try our best to investigate and help you.

Thanks,

Harshika

Hi Meral:

The early versions of macOS Ventura had issues with InDesign. Updating to Ventura 13.5 or later would be a good idea, but it may or may not resolve this issue.

i'm wondering if you are clicking on an icon for an earlier version of InDesign that has been removed? Try opening InDesign from the CC desktop app and watch the dock to see where the icon appears as InDesign opens (possibly on the far right). Once you see it, right click the icon and choose Options > Keep in Dock. Close InDesign and see if that button will work to open it. If it does, you can remove the icon that doesn't work, and drag the new icon to where you want it to appear.

One more thing, feel free to use your native language as you respond to us. We can figure it out.
