Unusual pdf size

2 pop up banner design graphics - both created in photoshop - both images saved as flat JPG @ 240ppi both RGB one has file size of 24.2mb the other has file size of 25.9mb - one placed in indesign - exported to pdf under 'Adobe PDF (Print) and High Quality Print and file size of pdf is 54.5mb - The other placed in indesign saved identically as previous but file size of pdf is 15.7mb ... WTF is going on here??

Type of images in the artwork can be compressed differently.

 

Why are you saving them as jpg from Photoshop and placing in InDesign?

Adding text or other info?

 

Save from Photoshop to PDF and place that in InDesign if you need to.

 

Or of the whole thing is done in Photoshop then save it as a pdf from Photoshop and use that.

Hi @jamie.bip , what are the dimensions of the JPEGs? 25mb seems very large for a JPEG even when saved with high quality compression.
