Hi rlive99,

do you mean the tool tip that is showing the target page when you hover the mouse over the hyperlink's name in the Hyperlinks panel? The contents of the tool tip should change and should show the right page. However, that the name of the hyperlink itself will change is not to be expected.

Are you working with one single InDesign document or with an InDesign book file with several documents? If an InDesign book file: would this issue go away when you sync the page numbers in your InDesign book file?

Thank you for the response.

Like I said it is a book, in book mode with 4 sections or separate files.

In that first section, are you linking to pages or text anchors in the 4th section? If there's a particular bit of text you want to link to, a heading, for example, use text anchors not page # links.

Thank you for the response.

I had already given up and redid everything as text anchors instead of hyperlinks. Good workaround.

Hi Robert,

I would try to sync all page numbers (again) with all four documents of the InDesign book file open.

How many pages do you have per document?

Are there different numbering systems for the four sections?

LATEST

Synced all pages and entire book, ran numbering. Saved, closed, and reopened.

All sections open thru the book method.

Same numbering system throughout the 4 sections/book. (Automatic Page Numbering)

The total book is 840 pages. (5/390/253/392)

54 hyperlinks that I change to text anchors for a workaround.

TOC updates and is correct.

Just the hyperlink page number does not update to reflect any changes.
