Updating InDesign 2022 to 17.2 Having Multiple Problems on iMac Pro

With the InDesign 17.2 update I'm experiencing multiple problems:

1. Error messgae: "Cannot save this document. It may be opened by other applications."

2. "InDesign is unable to save this file. We tried but appears to be damaged."

3. "This file is already open by another user or another application."

4. Images, (TIFsF. JPGs and PNGs), do not display, instead get "noise" where the image is suppose to be.

5. Recieved a unexpected quit report when I was opening InDesign.

I've researched solutions without success, including rebooting the iMac, resetting Preferences, etc.

Running Mac OS 12.3.1 on an iMac Pro. Any suggestions welcomed and greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is it just one file or all files?

If it's just one file

If a document is not behaving well then try

File>Export

Choose IDML

Open the IDML in InDesign
Save the file as a new InDesign file with a new name
See if the issue persists.

---

Reinstalling rarely fixes everything - you can do a complete reinstall using the
Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

---

If both suggestions above are not helping can you please advise what the exact workflow is involved in your setups?

If you can't find a solution it might be worth installing the previous version of InDesign until the issue with the current version is sorted.

Can be a security/privacy(privilages issue. Do you have an active cloud service (iCloud, OneDrive etc?) Are you saving files locally? Does InDesign have access to save/edid files and folders?
