Is it possible to upload InDesign files to Creative Cloud Files or Libraries? I keep getting an error message that says: “Files could not be uploaded. Some file types are not supported.” Is this a known issue? If so, is there an alternative solution?
Thanks for sharing the details. I understand the confusion around uploading InDesign files to Creative Cloud. Based on Adobe’s official documentation, Creative Cloud Libraries in InDesign currently support only specific asset types such as colors, color themes, paragraph styles, character styles, and graphics, but not full InDesign files (.indd). That's why you're seeing the 'file type not supported' error message when trying to upload them.
Libraries are mainly designed
...Could you please explain what you mean by “sync” in this context? I believe the Sync Folder option is no longer available in Creative Cloud. Is that correct?

Yes, the "cloud sync" facility was discontinued a couple of years ago. If you need a cloud solution for InDesign files and their accompanying assets, then you'll need some of the services I mentioned earlier.

You'll have much better luck with more robust cloud solutions such as Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.

Libraries are mainly designed to store reusable design elements, while Creative Cloud Files (accessible via the Creative Cloud desktop app or web) can be used to sync and store complete InDesign documents if you want cloud-based storage or sharing.
You can review all the details and supported file types in this HelpX article for better clarity:
