Hi, I'm relatively new to InDesign. I have a product licence (admin privileges) and am now trying to upload a file a previous employee created, so that I can update it for 2023. I have the file on my Google Drive and via email but I can't upload and open it from inside ID. Can anyone help me please?

Hi, @Kimberly27993370cfs3 ,

why not copying that file from Google Drive to your local hard drive and open it in InDesign?

and via email but I can't upload and open it from inside ID

What does this mean? Upload to where? What email?

Regards

Stephan

There's no "upload" required. Save the file to your hard drive. Then, in InDesign, choose File > Open, navigate to the location where it was saved, select it, and click the Open button.

Thank you very much. I tried all the obvious things but I think the problem
was in the employee set up. I seem to be able to open the file from inside
ID now, from its location on my hard drive. Thanks to everyone who tried to
help me, much appreciated.
