In all InDesign document, previously opened documents and newly created ones, the text boxes are there, but the type does not show up.  It only shows up if I use the text tool.  See attached screen recording. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, as well as installed an older version and none of this helps. Is anyone else having this issue? It just suddenly started yesterday (May 5, 2022).

The latest updated version. I realized later that the issue is that somehow InDesign has switched to "GPU Preview". When I change it to "CPU Preview", everything is fine.  Looks like the keyboard shortcut for this is Shift + E, which is super close to exporting, CMD + E.
