what is InDesign CS8.2.?

I am using InDesign CC 2014 and i had to reinstll it. After the instalaton, I could not open any files. It sais that is because the file vas made in newer version of  of InDesign (CS8.2) even though it is same version that I used to make these files. What should I dooo??

According to the history of ID, version 8.2 belongs to CS6, which was prolific before the CC came. 

My best guess: ID uses converters for older versions, perhaps the one in CC2014 is missing. Reinstallation?

The latest version of InDesign is v17 – you need to upgrade to be compatible with modern operating systems.

How exactly did you reinstall CC2014?

It seems unlikely to me that you reinstalled CC 2014. The newer version error would only pop up if you were trying to pen a file in a version older than the one in which the document was saved.

What version number do you see when you open About InDesign?
