Hi All
I found a behavior of InDesign that is not have other products Ai, Ph, Acrobat etc.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aYl8Fi9eQsDYxu5-ZaMxqmb0gD8i-S4d/view?usp=sharing
In the video I'm showing Active folder with InDesign file.
When double click the InDeisgn opens the file and it should became Active.
So, it means If I push Alt+tab then the folder have to be activeted but no. It activates again InDesign.
You have to push Alt+Tab+Tab
Same thing happen if you close the window in the InDesign and want to go to Active folder by alt+tab it doesn't work. You have to push twise (Alt+Tab 2x)
For lots of users will not found this as issue (they work always with mouse) -- however these slows down the work quite when you work with lot's of kayboard shortacts.
I hope you could solve the issue. Thank you.

I'm not completely following what you expect from this setup, but I will note that applications often open in less than obvious ways; that is, there might be a sequence of windows that is not quite as it appears in stacking order. So you might think one Alt-Tab will take you to the desired window, but the hidden stacking order means there's another one in the way.
Not sure, thus, that this is a bug, but just unexpected behavior. But explain further if you think I've missed your point.

Thank you for the replay. And yes I already mentioned that it could not be an issue for maybe most of the InDesign users.
However if someone works with lot's of different type of files Ai Ps and Id for example. It is mandatory to have same behaving for all apps. I mean when you have to hope lot's of times between apps.
Would be great if it can be solved.

I could not duplicate this behavior on my Windows machine.

I find it interesting that nobody in these comments seems to be aware of this behavior of this behavior nor can they recreate it . This happens to me nearly every time I try to alt-tab back into InDesign.
Your video has since been deleted so I can't see specifically what you're referring to, but when I try to alt-tab back into InDesign, the menus are available and clickable, however, the documents are not. You hvae to click on the tool bar and then click into a document (or click tab twice). It's a very odd behavior that I've only noticed in InDesign and has happened to me for years.. And for someone who likes to use the keybaord as much as possible, it's very frustrating.

As Mike and I noted, the behavior can't be replicated and no one else seems to have ever encountered it — at least, they haven't triggered it, noted it, and reported it here. 🙂
There are behaviors that can be peculiar to some very small subset of user systems, a bad confluence of app, OS, and perhaps system drivers or other support software. I'd guess, from the info so far, that your case is one of these. I'd look at any and all apps, applets, etc. on your system to see if something is interfering with how your installation of ID is handling the Alt-Tab transition. For example, I use a little app that supports on-screen sticky notes, and it's wonderful except that it does a hard capture of some keystrokes, which causes odd behavior in some apps. On the Mac, I see reports here of the Magnet utility causing weird behavior with item selection and movement in ID.
I'd go through all the possibly keyboard utilities etc. on your system, starting with any fancy feature your keyboard driver/manager might support, and try running ID in the most bare, plain environment possible to see if you can isolate a cause. Short of putting your system in the hands of an experienced "forensic" tech, I can't think of a simple approach to running this problem down. I can only note again that it's not a common behavior of ID at all.

Hi @leafbelly
I'm glad you posted. I thought it is only me on this planet which have same issue.
Here you can find a video again.
I did ctrl+w to close a window then I'm pushing the alt+tab again and again and instead of switch betwen Folder InDesign window you can see that it appears in the same InDesign widnow.
If I push alt and Tab twise then it will go to folder but it doesn't make sance.
The behavior I describing above is like: If I'm working on some document then close and I want to switch to the folder to open other document.
Last time I posted I had different laptop. Currently Assus Zenbook UM5401R. Windwos 11.
I hope it could be solved.
