When re-opening file, images are not shown even if the links are there

Seems the other thread was marked for deletion or moved. Anyhow can you let us know what the error message says? Also if the link is shown as found in the links panel but it appears as a gray box in the layout you could check the display performance settings, if it's set to Fast we see gray boxes.
