Hello there! Does anybody know why Adobe surrounds some directory names in its products with parentheses?
I use InDesign CS6 on Windows, and here are the filenames from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS6\Required:
I'm somewhat obsessive about naming files. Surrounding filenames with parentheses might be a useful practice I'm not aware of 🙂
This is the folder structure of resources created by the OpenDoc Framework Resource Compiler, most notably for plug-ins that the program requires. Don't be messing with them no matter how obessive you are about names! 😉
Those are seen in non-English environments in the local Language Term.

This is a Windows feature, I believe
They can indicate that the date is not part of the name or what is in the folder.
