My images are only of 80 Effective PPI on A3 spreads, and Photoshop upsampling it seems is not really recommended.
So I was thinking about an image effect that would look good at 80 Effective PPI on A3 spreads.
Which effect would that be?
Some effect that would be more artistic and defined that a bad quality print?
Can someone show 80 Effective PPI printed on A3, to see how bad it looks?

For example a specific "old newspaper" effect that would look like old newspaper instead of bad quality print?

If you run one of the Filter Effects sample the image up before running the filter. Most of the filters will work better at higher resolutions even on an image that has been softened by an upsample

It might be possible to turn 80 effective PPI images into 300 PPI smooth (or even vectorized) woodcut effect images or similar, will give it a try.
