< in advance, apologies for my English because I'm Dutch >
So I have a paragraph here, were a word with open/close parenthesis will not hyphenate. In this case it is the word insolventiefunctionaris(sen).
When I use the ctrl+shift+- in this word, it will hyphenate. In the next paragraph, you can see it does hyphenate, but it does'nt have any parenthesis.
Is there any setting I'm forgetting to test if the word with the parenthesis will hyphenate in the future?
I hope I was a bit clear with what I mean. Hope anyone can help!
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Sorry for the layout in this post
Both words seem to hyphenate just fine for me:
Have you checked to see if No Break is applied?
Edit: to fix a poorly-cropped GIF
You can manually put the hyphen where you would like it. Unless, of course, you have the word repeating in your text.
You can also:
click in the paragraph then choose hyphen from the paragraph panel menu>Turn off hyphenate.

I should say that, if I saw this hyphenation anywhere in any language:
insolventiefunctionaris(-
sen)
that I would apply No Break instantaneously and without hesitation; it looks so unbelievably ugly to my eyes. Is this really in accordance with Dutch hyphenation rules? Is the hyphenation engine maybe ignoring the parentheses?
