Hello Abhishek,
thanks for your effort!
I created the file in 2022. It must have been InDesign version 2022 or 2023. Very strange, because at the same time, I created another product info that I can open without any problems.
Best regards
Markus

Hi @markusk95855682,
Thanks so much for sharing those details. I was able to reproduce the issue on my end as well, just as you described.
I’m currently checking with the product team to see if there’s any way the file can be recovered or repaired. Let me connect with them, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I have an update.
Also, just to confirm, are you still on InDesign 2022 or 2023 and trying to open this file?
Appreciate your patience!

Hi @markusk95855682,
I hope you’re doing well!
I wanted to update you regarding the file issue you’ve been facing. After working with the product team, it turns out that the file you’ve uploaded seems to be severely damaged. We've tried to recover it by bypassing the problematic sections, but unfortunately, we were unable to restore the file. InDesign is going into a protective shutdown when trying to open it and showing a 'file damaged' error.
Sadly, in this case, the damage to the file seems beyond recovery.
As a best practice for future projects, I'd recommend keeping multiple copies of important files. Especially when working on large or complex documents. Having backups can be really helpful in preventing data loss and ensuring you have options if a file ever becomes corrupted.
If there's anything else I can assist with, feel free to reach out!
Abhishek
