We need to merge some different files (links) made with Publish Online.

How to do that?

2

Also, exporting directly from Indesign the quality is fine but sometimes the result is not good if the file has layers or transparencies. In these cases we opted to export first to PDF and later publish with a new ID containing those PDF. But the quality of the text gets a little blurred and not shows the purity of a PDF. We managed the settings but an unpleasant result was obtained.

I'm not sure I understand your #1 question. But if it is simply, "Can we merge Publish Online documents?", the answer is no. You'd have to combine the original InDesign files, then publish that file.

As for #2 question, are you saying your type in a Publish Online document is not clear? There have been reported problems with transparency, but those were supposed to have been resolved. If Publish Online, you might try publishing on "Hi Res," available under Advanced Options in the Publish Online dialog.

Please don't hesitate to clarify further the problems you are having.

Diane, it seems is a problem.

Exporting from ID with PDF damages the resolution.

Hi resolution was not enough:ID.png

Hi aps,

a placed PDF is always converted to a pixel image when published online.

That's also true with placed InDesign pages or all vector graphics.

The one exception should/could be a placed SVG file that is prepared to go through as SVG vector information.

I did not test this, but it could be a workaround for simple cases. Please try and come back to share your experience. Thanks!
