Hi,

is this the only – and circumstantional – solution for creating an index with/for images (a text list of the images with page numbers):

https://www.linkedin.com/learning/indesign-secrets/271-add-images-to-an-index

Namely: adding a text frame connected with the image and with an index entry inside.

Thanks!

If you post such a question indicating such a link, that means your images are not anchored, functionnality the person who made this video seems however to ignore! …

if not, forget the way shown in the video!

Hmm, and what is the usual way to create an index of all linked images?

I tried it again (latest ID version): but it just looks like it might be possible to add a new "Querverweis" directly to an image. After "OK" the entry doesn't appear in the list! I do have to work with text frames as described in the linked video.

And there are no instructions e.g. on the help page:

https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/user-guide.html/indesign/using/creating-index.ug.html is no help
