The 2020 indesign documents will not open in 2021 indesign when I click on them. I cannot even view them through Acrobat or in preview on my mac.
I have attached screenshots of what the 2020 document icon looks like and then a message that pops up when I try to open the document through Indesign 2021.
The message that pops up saying that “aliases could not be resolved” means that the original file you are trying to open has either be moved from its original location or deleted. It is absolutely not relative to the InDesign version.
I cannot even view them through Acrobat or in preview on my mac.
It is absolutely normal: Acrobat is not able to read an InDesign document and it is not possible to see the preview of an InDesign file without a third party plugin.
