Access Properties of InDesign file without opening application

Hi,

 

Is it possible to fetch the properties of image files & tables present in the document without opening the indesign application. Please suggest.

But of course you can’t create an IDML file without opening the INDD in InDesign first. If you get in the habbit os saveing to IDML and INDD at the same time you’ll always have the IDML file available.

The idml version of a document file is essentially a markup/XML version of the file.  I would start there.
