I would like to adjust the cursor blink speed. When doing fast corrections and switching between sheets of paper and screen it can take a second to get my eyes fixed on the cursor again. I would like to be able to adjust the cursor blink speed of the type tool.

Hi Jort_Bond,

don't think there is a way to do this with InDesign.

Maybe in your operating system settings?

What's your exact OS version?

What I can see in InDesign:

A preference for Story Editor windows only.

Preferences > Story Editor Display > Cursor Options

Unfortunately cursor blink speed is not available.

Uwe Laubender

Dear Laubender,

Thank you for your response. It's not possible in InDesign. In MacOS I can adjust the blink speed systemwide by Terminal command. Not all applications stick to that setting. That's why I made a feature request (or so I thought so).

Kind regards,

Jort

I would like the same thing. I would really like my cursor not to blink AT ALL in InDesign, and NOT just in Story Editor. (Story Editor leaves no empty margin to the left and right, making it a real pain to read / work in, so it's useless for me.)

Adobe's programs also pay no attention to my commands in Terminal.
